江戸時代に伝わり、黒森流の一派といわれ、踊りや太鼓は敏捷闊達を特徴とし、昔からお祝いごとや神仏の供養と祈願の行事として広く知られています。昔は男性たちで踊られたものであるが、今は女性たちの手で継承されています。
